Coming Down to Earth: A Journey Towards Regenerative Cultures in a Time of Breakdown was a month-long online summit exploring conflict transformation, regenerative cultures, systems change, and collective resilience. Held between June 15 and July 15, 2020, the summit invited participants into a rich learning journey to reimagine how we understand, experience, and respond to conflict – both within ourselves and in our relationships, organizations, communities, and the wider world.
The playlist includes 75-video recordings featuring internationally respected thinkers and practitioners—including Otto Scharmer, Margaret J. Wheatley, Miki Kashtan, Bayo Akómoláfẹ́, Sophy Banks, Alnoor Ladha, Daniel Christian Wahl, and many others—the summit brought together diverse perspectives from peacebuilding, systems thinking, regenerative design, neuroscience, indigenous wisdom, social change, and organizational development. Together, these voices explored the mindsets, cultural patterns, and inherited assumptions that often keep us trapped in cycles of conflict, while offering practical alternatives rooted in compassion, collaboration, and regeneration.
Rather than treating conflict as something to avoid or eliminate, Coming Down to Earth reframed it as an essential part of human life and a powerful opportunity for learning, healing, and transformation. Through keynote talks, conversations, and experiential practices, participants discovered new frameworks and practical tools for navigating tensions with greater awareness, building healthier relationships, strengthening collective resilience, and cultivating the conditions for regenerative cultures to flourish.
Designed as a shared global learning experience, the summit encouraged people to continue these conversations with friends, families, colleagues, neighbors, and communities. By connecting diverse ways of knowing with practical bodies of practice, Coming Down to Earth remains a valuable resource for anyone seeking to transform conflict into a catalyst for personal growth, collective wellbeing, and meaningful systems change.
