How can storytelling help us remember our belonging within the living world? Earth-centric storytelling invites us to awaken the storyteller within—the part of us that remembers storytelling as an ancient human practice rooted in relationship, imagination, and connection with the Earth.

In this participatory session, Sara McFarland guides participants through creative practices of moving, writing, speaking, listening, and sharing stories that center wild beings and the reciprocal relationship between humans and the more-than-human world.

Through playful exploration, participants reimagine familiar fairy tales and create new stories inspired by encounters with the natural world. These practices help us reconnect with ecological wisdom, deepen our sense of belonging, and rediscover storytelling as a tool for healing, learning, and transformation.
